Alassane Ouattara, the President of Côte d'Ivoire, officiated the inauguration of the highly anticipated Cocody Bridge on Saturday, August 12th, 2023. Côte d'Ivoire: Abidjan's 4th bridge eases traffic, connects communities, and transforms Llves Financed with €566 million from the African Development Bank Group, Abidjan's 4th Bridge is improving mobility between Yopougon and Plateau, connecting economic hubs, and creatin. Impeccably dressed in traditional attire and a fedora that confer authority befitting a descendant of a long royal lineage, Ekra Kobenan sits straight-backed in a chair reserved for the traditional chief of the town of Prikro, in central Côte d'Ivoire. On Wednesday 10 January, just days before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations football tournament opens, (2023 AFCON), the Ivorian Prime Minister, Robert Beugré Mambé, opened Abidjan's fourth bridge, the "Y4" bypass, and the urban highways of Civil Prison and Dabou respectively, all built with funding.
