Samoa Submarine Cable Company Limited (SSCC) announced today that the contract signed with Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks (ASN), to roll out the Tui-Samoa Cable is in force. The second largest of its islands, Upolu, is home to 70% of the population, while Savai'i (the largest island) is home to nearly 30%, with about 1,000 people living on two small outer islands, Manono and Apolima.
