The switch of the cabinet tripped
The first step is to check which appliances are connected to the circuit that keeps tripping. A tripping switch, or circuit breaker, is there to protect your home by cutting off electricity when there's too much demand or a fault in the system. It keeps an eye on the electrical flow, and if things get unsafe, it trips to prevent damage or even a fire. Usually this happens because there's too much electricity being drawn at once (an overload) or there's a short somewhere in the wiring that creates an unintended connection between. The photograph above shows three different consumer units and each contains a Main Switch that is designed to trip when there are electrical problems.
