High-resolution temperature sensing with Raman-OFDR using optical communication fiber cables shows great potential as it allows the surveillance of several kilometers of underground transport facilities without the need for installing sensing equipment in the tunnels. Underground cable monitoring is crucial for maintaining reliability and preventing failures caused by environmental and mechanical threats. By detecting issues early, it enables proactive maintenance, reducing the risk of service disruptions and costly repairs. Current temperature measurement methods, including fiber-optic-based systems (DTS and LTS), involve high costs that limit their feasibility in medium-voltage networks, where more economically accessible alternatives are required. Contact us today to learn more about our praetorian sensing for underground power cable capabilities and above-ground power cable monitoring.

Here we provide a step-by-step guide on setting up your 24-Port Long-Range Power over Ethernet (PoE) Switch! We'll walk you through installing and configuring your PoE switch, enabling you to power and connect multiple devices over long distances easily. moreYears ago, someone conceived the idea of delivering low-voltage direct current (DC) power and data simultaneously over twisted pair network cabling, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) was born. A PoE switch is a network switch that utilizes PoE technology to transmit power and data over the same Ethernet cable to powered devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones, simplifying installation and reducing maintenance costs. Are you planning to install a PoE switch for your network but don't know where to start? BV Security offers a range of great unmanaged PoE switches that are easy to install and use. With the appropriate equipment and instructions, PoE installation can simplify the laborious process of building network.
