This investment will build on the Australia Connect initiative, furthering the reach, reliability, and resilience of digital connectivity. In order to build the Accelerating Renewable Energy Integration and Sustainable Energy (ARESE) project funded by the World Bank, the Maldives Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology carried out power grid upgrade projects on 15 islands in the Maldives.
